Abstract

Summary. Neurovegetative regulation of the cardiorespiratory system was studied in 229 participants (83 healthy persons and 146 patients with bronchial asthma) using the synchronous analysis of heart rhythm and systolic and diastolic blood pressure variability. All participants were divided into groups depending on smoking status. The groups differed in parameters of neurovegetative regulation. More prominent neurovegetative regulatory disorders were found in smokers. Formation of strongly determined regulatory system was shown in patients with bronchial asthma. Smoking led to early quantitative and qualitative remodeling of the regulatory system.
