The effect of C02 laser phototherapy in patients with COPD and tuberculosis assessed by cytomorphologic contents of broncho-alveolar lavage (BAL) fluid
Abstract
The article displays the results of endobronchial C02-laser phototherapy for treatment of nonspecific bronchitis in 23 patients with tuberculosis and 24 patients with COPD. It is estimated that C02 phototherapy results in the approvement of cytogram and simultneous involution of bronchial pathology. The degree of BAL fluid cytogram normalization during the recovery from nonspecific bronchitis in case of tuberculosis is determined by its form, and in case of COPD — by the intensity and the degree of irreversibility of pathologic changes.
