Приводятся результаты наблюдений больных (n = 15) с солитарными фиброзными опухолями (СФО). Отмечается, что в большинстве случаев заболевание протекало бессимптомно, опухоли были выявлены при рентгенологическом исследовании, проводившемся по иному поводу, будучи диагностированы как периферические опухоли легких с плевральным выпотом. Выявлены доброкачественные (n = 12) и злокачественные (n = 3) СФО. И те и другие различались по микроскопической картине и пролиферативной активности, более высокой в злокачественных СФО, однако установлен аналогичный иммуногистохимический профиль с экспрессией СD34, CD99, bcl2. С учетом гистологической картины опухоли квалифицировались как СФО 3го типа (клеточного), для которого характерно наличие клеток вытянутой формы, образующих муаровые структуры. В гистогенетическом плане СФО рассматриваются как типичные производные мезотелия, т. е. тканевой структуры с особым типом роста, не являющейся ни соединительной тканью, ни эпителием в обычном смысле слова.
