В статье авторы предлагают осуществлять десенситизацию аспирином в тяжелых случаях аспириновой астмы, когда коэффициент чувствительности к аспирину больше или равен 2.0, путем медленного еженедельного наращивания количества принимаемой больными ацетилсалициловой кислоты, начиная лечение с минимальных доз препарата.
При наличии очень высокой чувствительности к блокаторам циклооксигеназы, а также в случаях рецидива заболевания во время десенситизации, эффективным способом купирования обострения или снижения чувствительности к салицилатам является гемосорбция.
