На основании данных собственного исследования выявлено, что кашель является частым проявлением гастроэзофагеальной рефлюксной болезни: он отмечается у 87 (34,8 %) из 250 больных гастроэзофагеальной рефлюксной болезнью. Пациенты с кашлем, вызванным гастроэзофагеальной рефлюксной болезнью, представляют собой неоднородную группу: у 49 из 87 больных кашель проходил или существенно уменьшался вследствие антирефлюксной терапии. У 34 пациентов недостаточный эффект антирефлюксной терапии был обусловлен наличием эозинофильного воспаления в бронхах. Назначение симбикорта способствовало значительному уменьшению кашля у больных гастроэзофагеальной рефлюксной болезнью и эозинофильным бронхитом. У пациентов, отказавшихся от терапии симбикортом, наблюдалось прогрессирование воспалительного процесса в бронхах и появление симптомов астмы. Туссография в сочетании с 24-часовой пищеводной рН-метрией позволяет выявить связь кашля с эпизодами рефлюкса. С помощью спектральной туссофонобарографии возможна регистрация продуктивного кашля, свидетельствующего о воспалительных изменениях в бронхах.
